The Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium at Taleigao is Goa's main indoor arena, a 4,000-seat hall beside the Goa University campus built at a cost of about ₹82 crore for the 2014 Lusofonia Games and run by the Sports Authority of Goa. IFFI's venue page lists it as the festival's opening and closing ceremony venue, and it is the default choice in the state for large indoor gatherings, from sports championships to exhibitions, award nights and ticketed shows. The stadium stands on the plateau between Panaji, Dona Paula and Bambolim, with open ground around it that is used for parking and temporary structures during big events.
