About Maquinez Palace (ESG Complex)
Maquinez Palace is the headquarters of the Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG), the state body that hosts the International Film Festival of India with the National Film Development Corporation. The riverside campus joins the palace to the Old Goa Medical College building, home of a medical school founded in 1842, and INOX Panaji stands in the same precinct. ESG rents out two auditoria, a viewing room, an art gallery, a hall in the Old GMC building and the open courtyards, so outside IFFI the complex takes film screenings, exhibitions, press events and craft markets such as the Chavticho Bazaar held before Ganesh Chaturthi in September 2026. During IFFI, 20–28 November 2026, it is a delegate screening venue.
