Book, Poetry & Literary Events in Goa
Nothing is listed for coming up yet โ new events are added every morning, so check back soon.
Goa reads and writes in Konkani, Marathi, English and Portuguese, and its literary events reflect that. The main annual gathering is the Goa Arts and Literature Festival at the International Centre Goa in Dona Paula, held in mid-February in 2026; dates for 2027 had not been announced when we checked in October. Through the year, The Dogears Bookshop in Margao hosts book releases, discussions and a writers' meet-up called Scribblers Anonymous, the Krishnadas Shama State Central Library in Panaji holds exhibitions and poetry gatherings, and the Institute Menezes Braganza is the traditional room for book launches in the capital. The Xavier Centre of Historical Research in Porvorim runs its History Hour talks. Most events are free. This page lists readings, launches and literary events across Goa.
