About Museum of Christian Art
The Museum of Christian Art holds Goa's finest collection of Indo-Portuguese sacred art: ivory carvings, silver and gold liturgical objects, painted wood sculpture, textiles and furniture made by Goan craftsmen for the churches of the old capital. It is housed in the Convent of Santa Monica on the Holy Hill at Old Goa and is run under the Archdiocese of Goa and Daman. The museum reopened on 23 May 2022 after a full upgrade of its galleries. It is open daily from 10 am to 5 pm, with the ticket counter closing at 4:30 pm; entry is ₹100 for adults and ₹50 for students. It also hosts talks, guided tours and occasional recitals.
