About Sunaparanta – Goa Centre for the Arts
Sunaparanta – Goa Centre for the Arts is a not-for-profit arts centre in an old Portuguese-era house on Altinho, the hill above central Panaji. Set up in 2009 by Dattaraj and Dipti Salgaocar, it has exhibition galleries, a courtyard used for performances and screenings, and Café Bodega, a popular lunch spot in the inner courtyard. The programme mixes exhibitions of Goan and Indian contemporary art with artist talks, film screenings, workshops for adults and children, and occasional music and theatre evenings. Its website listed exhibitions running to 24 October 2026. Most events are small, and many are free, which makes the centre an easy first stop for anyone wanting to see what Goa's artists are making.
