Valentine's Day 2027 in Goa: Date Ideas & Events

Valentine's Day 2027 falls on a Sunday, 14 February, which makes a weekend of it, and Goa in mid-February is close to ideal: dry, warm, and quieter than December. The week has an unusual shape this year. Carnival runs from Saturday 6 to Tuesday 9 February, so Valentine's week opens with float parades and street dances, and Ash Wednesday on 10 February begins Lent, after which Catholic villages turn quieter. For the day itself, the classic plan is a sunset and a long dinner. Restaurants in Assagao, Siolim, Fontainhas and along the Salcete coast run set menus; beach resorts in Ashwem, Candolim and Cavelossim sell private dinners on the sand; and the casino ships offer couples' packages. Quieter ideas include a Fontainhas heritage walk at 4 pm, a pottery session at Carpe Diem in Majorda, an evening at a vinyl bar in Panaji, or a drive to Cabo de Rama fort for the view. February is also when the Goa Arts and Literature Festival and the Monte Music Festival have usually been held, though neither had announced 2027 dates when we checked.
