Things to do in Arpora & Parra

Arpora lies just inland of Baga, around the creek and the hill road to Anjuna. It is best known for its Saturday night markets, which in past seasons ran from early evening with craft stalls, food counters and a live stage; this season's dates were not confirmed when we checked in October 2026. A fire at a nightclub here on the night of 6 December 2025 killed 25 people and led to fire-safety audits and club closures across the coastal belt, so check that any venue you plan to visit is open. Neighbouring Parra is a farming village known for its coconut-lined road. Mapusa is about 7 km away.
