Sunburn 2026: Is the Festival in Goa This Year?

No, Sunburn is not in Goa in 2026. The festival's organisers have announced its 19th edition for Friday 18 and Saturday 19 December 2026 at Mahalaxmi Racecourse in Mumbai, in a two-day format, with a closing party at the NSCI Dome on 20 December. It is the second year running that the festival is being held in Mumbai instead of Goa. When we checked Sunburn's own listings on 12 October 2026 there was no Goa-labelled event; three 'India tour' shows were listed without cities. The festival began in Candolim in 2007, later moved to Vagator, spent three years in Pune and held its last Goa edition at Dhargalim in Pernem in December 2024. For visitors, the practical point is that a December trip to Goa no longer includes Sunburn, and anyone selling 'Sunburn Goa 2026' passes is not selling a real ticket. Electronic music in Goa has gone back to smaller rooms and beach venues. Confirmed for this season are an Anjunadeep Open Air at Thalassa Beach Boutique Resort in Ashwem on 31 December 2026, Goa Sunsplash there on 16 and 17 January 2027, and weekly psytrance and club nights around Vagator and Chapora. - Do not buy 'Sunburn Goa' tickets from resellers or social media. The 2026 festival is in Mumbai, and tickets are sold through the organisers' official ticketing partner.
