Things to do in Pernem & Mopa

Pernem is the headquarters of Goa's northernmost taluka, an inland town better known to visitors for what surrounds it: Manohar International Airport at Mopa, which opened in December 2022, and the Konkan Railway station that serves Arambol and Mandrem. Large open-air events have started using the plateau land near the highway, and Sunburn held its December 2024 edition at Dhargalim. The town itself keeps to a temple calendar, with a well-known Dussehra, and the Deshprabhu mansion is a landmark. Tiracol Fort, across the river at the state's edge, is reached by ferry from Querim. Kadamba runs airport buses to Panaji, Mapusa and Margao.
