Things to do in Varca, Cavelossim & Mobor

The southern end of Salcete's long beach is resort country. Varca, Cavelossim and Mobor are lined with five-star hotels between the sea and the River Sal, and most ticketed events here are hotel affairs: gala dinners, food promotions, weddings and New Year's Eve parties. Outside the resort gates, Cavelossim's main road has restaurants and bars with live music through the season, and the riverside at Mobor is the starting point for dolphin and sunset boat trips. The beach is wide and uncrowded. Margao is about 15 km away and Dabolim airport about 40 km; buses from Margao are infrequent after dark.
